I think you're right about the hairagami. It's a little different from what I remember but I think this may be it. The quality of this video is very low, though:

Not sure about the first one.  Sounds really odd!
I think the second one might be Hairagami.

I was wondering if anyone could identify these hair gadgets that I saw in the 1990s on TV:

-circa 1994, there was this commercial where this woman is using some hair straightening/styling iron or similar tool. At first IIRC, she had spiky blonde hair, then suddenly it changes to another style then another, then another. At one point, she has a big brown bun, then all of a sudden, she is bald! Finally, the woman is replaced with a man, who also gets different styles with the gadget. What was this thing called?

-In 1995, I saw an infomercial for this handy-looking thing for making buns and twists. It was this band of black spandex or other elastic material, with a hole in the middle. So for example, to make a bun, you would have your hair down, put it through the hole (which would stretch as you pulled the band on both ends); then you would wrap the hair by using the band as an axis, going upwards until you got to the nape of your neck. Then you would twist it into a bun shape. What was this product called?
