They definatley havent put them high up enough , you need a few more rows higher up on your head.

Its like an exaggerated mushroom head.

Easily fixed.

Some salons p*ss me off...the women on this hair board who have no qualifactions could do a better intall half of the time

I had a SLIGHTLY similar experience, the extensions blended well with my own hair, but then I decided I wanted layers and didn't exactly do a great job, so there were DISTINCT shelves like that where I had intended layers. It was terribly ovbious when I wore it straight, but when I let it curl, it really did help a ton, you couldn't tell at all I had messed up the layers. So thats definately a great temporary fix till you get some more layering done or a better install.

Yes! Curling it does blend it really well!

Yes, if they can be placed higher, it would help, but in addition, usually they need blended. Usually I do mine with a razor, it's pretty easy, but also, you can go just about anywhere and they can do it.

I once went to Super Cuts or some place just because I wanted it done last minute and didn't want to do it myself, and she did a great job!

So especially if you aren't attached to the length too much, you can take the base line up a few inches, and then have them notch it all the way up. Usually this would get great results, even if there is a big difference in your natural hair and the extensions.

Also, in the meanwhile, curling it is SO helpful for disguising it!!

If your situation is close to this picture, then I guess you need to have some strands placed higher on your head. I would look terrible too if I was wearing my extensions very low, my own hair is so thin, I need to place the wefts very high, close to my part line.
Maybe it needs more layering too, but it looks like you would need strands placed higher to make it look more natural

shorter length and more layers will definately help, without an exact pic i can only guess as to how much it will help....the sides on short hair are harder to get right, you need hair up as high as you can go on the sides there....my hair is thin and fine and i get better coverage with wefted hair than with individual strands, so if they just cant get it right that could be an option for you to look into

until your appointment, can you bring just the hair on the sides of your face back into a 'mini pony' in the back and wear a half up/half down style (that's what i used to do until i figured out better placement of my extensions)

Hi everyone!

I got extensions last night and they are blended poorly!  I look like I have a mullet, and I have to have the hair in a ponytail with a hat because it looks so terrible.  This link is to a photo that is close to my hair, only my natural hair line is several inches shorter and the extensions are longer.  I have an appointment in a few days to have another person try and make it look better, but I don't know if there is any hope.  Is it possible to make it look better if it's cut to shoulder length and very layered?  It goes down to my bra strap now, but I am not attached to the length.  Just wanted to let my "mom hair" grow out, and now it's even worse!  Please help - I am devasted!!

Thanks for your help!

~Leslie

PS - I have micro rings - LOTS of them.  She used 2 packs of hair on my short, baby fine hair, and it's too much!
