ARGH! Hair Problem - [PICTURES INCLUDED].

I have been growing my hair for a few months now, and it is getting fairly long. However it looks really lifeless at the moment: everything is the same length, especially my fringe - which touches my eyes, and is like a big straight line across my forehead - which makes me look really stupid and ugly. Is there a specific name to this style? Obviously it has been cut to grow this way, and as I’ve said, my hair is pretty lifeless at the moment so I’d like to get it styled as soon as possible. How should I go about getting my hair like this? Replies are really appreciated! Also, my hair is quite thin - I have been using a volume shampoo for round about a week now but I haven’t really seen any effects yet. Are there any shampoos you would recommend?
