I tried a lipstick called Target red from Loreal they only have it at Target. It looked hot pink and did not work. Luckily the dance was cancelled but I will be dancing again soon and would like to find one that works. Also I just want to find a red lipstick that works one me for some reason they always turn hot pink kind of fuschia in color. I think maybe I need to try a browner red. I will try the ones you mentioned also thanks.
i looked through my own lipsticks, and for non-department store brands i had: Maybelline's 'Royal Red' is a cool-toned red that does not look fuschia..it is fire engine red
i also have Rimmel in Borgese, its a brownish red, it may be too dark for your liking....i like rimmel lipsticks...anyway hope you find one!

Instead of having pink lips mine are kinda darker and weird colored so I know how frustrating it can be when you put a color on and it *magically* changes the color of the lipstick.
I've never tried it myself, but some people say that putting red lip liner on your whole lip, then lipstick and some gloss on works well.
For red lipstick, I've gotten some at wal-mart at the end of christmas (in those gift sets) by a brand called Color Workshop. They work well, but I'm not sure if they sell it all year round.
Also, whenever you are looking for a certain color, take a sample/swatch of something the same color and see if the colors match eachother in the store. Just like buying house paint.
Hi,,,the absolute cheapest ( costwise ) and reddist color lipstick I've ever had is from N.Y.C called 'Retro Red ' I've used it many times and got compliments. It's bright and lasts a long time. My friends have used it and it seems to go very well with various skin tones/ lip tones.
If you're in the U.S go to WALMART, it's like $1.50.......pretty darn cheap for great lipstick. I refuse to spend more then $ 5 on lipstick...lol
When it comes to lipstick, I find many brands are overpriced. You don't need the expensive department store brands. I agree with nursie-Rimmel is great for lipstick. I have the same opinoin about mascara, Great Lash is the greatest :-)
