Getting a cut on Wednesday so just thought Id ask a quick question on here...

My hair's really thick and is abit curly aswell so I cant really do much with it..

Been reading around about layering but not really sure what it is? Would it help since my hairs so thick?

Found this pic earlier aswell and really like this style, anyone know what I should ask for to achieve the same style (I dont really want to take a picture)

Edit: My hairs already pretty short, but I hate it when it gets abit longer since it goes curly so..
