Does anyone know the criteria for becoming a Redken Certified Haircolorist? Is it a difficult test? I am trying to find someone who is a haircolor specialist and there is one girl near me who is certified by Redken but I have no idea what that means. According to the Redken website, there are only 37 people who are certified in NY. I have been to another girl who was certified by Goldwell and she was horribible! thanks for any advice! Allyssa
Just because some has been certified it doesn't mean they know their stuff unfortunately, but what they go thru is every product that Redken makes, to make sure they know how to use each & every product that Redken makes, does that make them an expert no, but it makes them understand what they are using.
If you need to find a colorist, try to find someone that has great haircolor and ask how does it, watch stylists do their thing in malls or salons, go have a manicure in a top salon and ask who is the best they have, say you go messed up before and usually the manicurist will tell you the truth.
So look for a great color that you like and try to find out who did it.
