What would I need to make a base for my extensions. like the ones from Jessica Simpson hairdo. I want somthing that has lots of hair but all on one piece. If you look on her hairsite, you can see the underside of the extensions with the clips attached. I want to make this myself by  sewing the wefts and clips on something like that .  like a multilevel contoured piece. Hope I make sense

I'd get some lace in a simliar color, some piping or something like that to stiffen up the edges, and some toupee clips. I've actually just started up my own custom synth hair piece buisness and that is my plan. I'm working on making something like the chingon peices that they have, so its its fitting over a smaller natural bun, I'm also using a half styrofoam ball to shape the lace, then some water/craft glue mix to set it into that shape.

Oh this sounds great, but why would I need to stiffen the lace?

I'm not sure if you would for the one you plan on, for me I am planning on it because it needs to fit over a bun, and therfore maintain more of a shape.

alright thanks alot. When I do this, I will update if it turned out and exactly how I did it.
