Hello. My name is elisa. I am 16 and in highschool and I want to purchase some clip on hair extension highlights (from this website: www.hairextensions.com) with the purpose of coon-tailing them for daily use.  See I had very thick healthy hair but it is now quite fried from dyeing and straightening, so I want to give it a rest for a while but I still really want coon tails.  Sorry if this is the wrong forum, I wasn't sure if it belonged here or in the teens forum. This is what coon tails look like:

(the bit on the right with the horizontal stripes)
I know i will probably have to do the stripes myself as very few places will sell them like that, but can anyone recommend a better store online with affordable, smallish clip in extensions(human so i can dye them)?
and any tips are nice

will this damage my real hair?

you have several options -
first I might suggest browsing the links in sticky at the top of the forum of various stores to see if they might have something that works for you.
If you don't find something, I'd reccemend possibly creating something like that yoruself. There are several tutorials on how to make clip-ins but essentially you would need a small weft of hair, the clips and some sewing thread to make the clip-ins. Its a good option since you want something specific.  I also have recently started my own custom buisness, using synth, but if you're interested I could create something like that for a reasonable cost very quickly.

Damage is possible, however if you are careful and continue to properly care for your hair as well as  use the clip-ins properly, it shouldn't be a problem. For instance, don't sleep in them, and move the spot you clip them in at slightly to minimize how much the clips rub on your hair.

hope this helps!
