Rusk Str8

Ok, I shelled out 10 bucks for this stuff and it did jack for my hair. It looked and felt very nice, not at all greasy and smelled great. It said it would straighten, alter curl memory and block the effects of humidity. I put it in my hair, and it did absolutely nothing. It wasn`t any straighter than before and it certainly frizzed up immediately after I walked out into the humidity. Has anyone tried this product and gotten similar or hopefully better results? Maybe I`m using the product wrong. I put it on my reasonably damp hair, should I have blown it dry a bit, then apply the product? Thanks for any help.
