Hello everyone.

My boyfriend has asked me to cut his hair with clippers. I`ve never done this before and do like floppy hair but he prefers it ultra short.

It`s about an inch long now - he`s been growing it for me since we met but is fed up with it now and wants me to use his clippers to do a grade 2 at the sides and grade 3 on top.

I feel kind of priveliged and I`m looking forward to it but don`t want to mess it up. Can anyone help?

Are there any websites that give instructions on this?

Thanking you hopefully.

Hello

My gf cuts my hair every month with clippers.
It doesn`t look so difficult to do. She uses a grade 2 on all my head and she finish the cut with scissors.
It takes 10 minutes to do on dry hair.
So don`t worry about the use of the clippers, u will see, it`s very easy to use.
Have Fun, and maybe u could ask him to cut yoour hair too ?
Tell us how it turns

How does she "finish" it if it`s grade 2 length? Surely that`s too short to use scissors on? What do you mean by finishing?

I`ve done a 3 and 4 blade on myself. I found that when you are doing the lower grade (back and sides) it helps blend the different grades better if you finish the upward stroke with a slight outward motion. This should give you a blend between the 2 grades. Determine before hand how far up you want to go with the lower grade. Of course some people like the distinct line between the 2 grades. In that case you would go to the point - stop - then later use the higher grade from that point on. Start small until you get the feel for it - it is pretty easy.
