Analyz Your Hair

This is new to me and no one I know has heard of it. I did some research and found an article about it in the New York Times. It states: "Shampoos and conditioners often carry the claim that they are "pH balanced," meaning that they contain a balance of acid and alkaline ingredients that matches that of hair. But this feature does not address contradictory challenges of modern living. Bleaches and permanent waves can leave hair too alkaline, while acid rain and air pollution can make it too acidic. As a result, the proper pH level for shampoos and conditioners will vary with the circumstances." It seems this product is really a litmus test for hair. The test employs an analyzer liquid that changes color in the presence of different pH levels. A sample of hair is placed in a vial containing the liquid. If the liquid turns green, it means the hair is healthy. If the liquid turns yellow, the hair is more acidic than it should be. If the liquid turns blue, the hair is overly alkaline. I don`t use the Hairlogic products myself but know people that do and they are pleased with them. The process makes sense and I see they are offering it for free right now. I don`t think you have anything to lose trying it.
