T.I. Going Gold by JOKESTA (Datpiff)
Predicted to sell over 500,000 during it’s first week, T.I.’s bipolar LP T.I. Vs. T.I.P., didn’t quite make it.
However, it did manage to sell 468,000 units according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album is the second number 1 debut for TI, last year’s King also opened at number 1, selling 522,000 copies.
T.I. Vs. T.I.P has had the highest selling week in hip hop since Jay Z’s Kingdom Come which sold 680,000 copies during its first week.

Nobody really buyin down souf records no more there albums are mostly about nothing and people aint spendin money for that ish, its still crazy how 50 cent can almost single-handedly outsell the souf by himself in a year.

I live in the south and there are quite a few artists who deserve to seel but end up seeming gimmicky. Young Dro is one example. First he released Shoulder Lean and then Rubberband Banks. Hes a pretty solid artist.
