I love my LG installs -except that LG turns whitish , which shows in my dark brown hair.

So, I played around with the RIT dye and it works but changed the texture of the LG reducing it's staying power......

Then I tried black individual eylash glue mixed with LG to darken it.... it worked very well, but same texture problem....

SO far the winner is...

I take a black sharpie and "color" the dried LG on the track after it is installed.  SO far it's great! I am careful to color only the glue, not my scalp......although that's tempting for my thin spots.

cool, does the ink stay on for any length of time or does it wash off?

If using the rit dye you only need about 1/2 cc (with syringe) of liquid rit fabric dye to a 1/2 ounce bottle of LG. It shouldnt change the texture or hold

Hi Sherrie,
SO far the sharpie has stayed on through 3 washes, so I think it's gonna last.
I didn't measure the RIT but It sounds like I probably used too much..... I'll try it again.Smile

Hi Saucyblossom,
I've been using the black sharpie for cow licks on dark hair for years! It works really well, and you're right it stays on for a few shampoos, & super easy to apply. It works much better than the crayon that's sold for a temporary touch up on roots.

hey saucyblossom, if the sharpie works I'd stick with that. Seems easier and less hassle than coloring the glue. And even if you have to touch up with the sharpie now and then its simple enough to do. Thanks for sharing your idea!Smile
