QuoteReplyTopic: Help with bohyme wefts!! Posted: August 21 2007 at 4:54pm
Hi all! I'm new to this forum. I have been researching extensions for quiet some time(I previously bought poor quality micro links) after much thought, I'm quiet sure I want to go with a bohyme weft and bond with liquid gold. My question is should I use a machine sewn weft or hand sewn? Is there much difference? And can anyone point me in the direction of any detailed instructions for installation? If any one has any other suggestions, I'd love to hear them too... I have shoulder length, pale blonde fine hair. Thanks!!!

If you are going to install the wefts with liquid gold, I would suggest you use machine weft. That is what I do with my LG installs. There is a picture by picture tutorial at Sultryhair.com. Hope that helps.
You can always *carefully* tone the bohyme is it's too yellow for you. I like machine weft for LG installs but I like the hand tied closer to the top of my head...idk.. The main difference is, of coursem cutting to fit. You cannot really cut hand tied....but machine you can cut w/o problems for a perfect fit. I think Hand tied wefts are approx. 10 inches....I usually go with 6-8 inches per row. some with doubles!
Thanks! I wasnt real sure with the machine/hand tied wefts! Think ill go with machine for my 1st install... Should i just go with liquid gold? Or LG and tape? I want my install to last at around 5-6 weeks if possible! is removing the tapes the same as LG( goo gone/acetone/lg remover)? This forum has been a life saver!! Thanks!!

I use Bohyme with Liquid Gold too. I like handtied wefts a hundred times better than machine weft. I like to place the weft high and the machine wefts are bulkier, and it is even bulkier to double or triple wefts.
I like LG over tapes much more, LG is just easier, cleaner, no sticky residus on your hair or the wefts.
YEs, you can use the same products for removing both tapes and LG, basically pure acetone, and Goo Gone (or citrus oil). Forget the LG remover, I heard it wasn't good at all.
To get some info on the install method, I recommend you check the tutorials available on the three forums ( hairextensions101, this forum and DIYextensions.net) to get a better idea. You can also look at the old post about LG or tape installs to find out more about little tricks.
You should be able to keep your install for 4 to 6 weeks no problems.
If you don't mind me asking, where do you get your hand sewn wefts from? The reason I was going to go with the machine sewn was because I was told u can't really cut them to size etc and are harder to install than machine.... I'm all confused!! I was going to buy my machine wefts from yourhairshop.com but not sure if they have hand sewn... I've tried contacting a few websites about their bohyme wefts but no reply!!!

You can totally cut handtied wefts, all you have to too is put a drop or two of crazy glue on the cut ends, wait a minute and you're good to go.
You might need a straightening iron to straighten the wefts when you first use them because they come as a "roll". But they are extremely easy to use. The only inconvenient of handtied weft is the life time, apparently machine wefts are more durable, but I have worn handtied bohyme for like 6 months and the wefts were fine.
I think there is less shedding observed on handtied wefts than on machine wefts too.
I think if you're concerned about the appearance of your install and the confort, handtied wefts are better, but in the end it is a matter of personal preference.
As for where I buy my handtied wefts from, here are a few options for you:
www.hairsisters.com My favorite, they have the lowest prices on most Bohyme hair, good customer service, fast shipping, free shipping over $75 (so it's free basically everytime I order Bohyme hair from them) and they have a good choice of colors as well. They give you discount like 10% off every once in a while
www.ebonyline.com good prices as well, free shipping over $75 as well, less colors available but they also send you discount coupons
www.hairextensions101 Sherrie can help you in your choice of color/texture, fast shipping and if you want to mix colors it is your best option. She allows to mix different colors for the price of one batch of hair, so really good if you want to try out a new color but don't feel like buying 4oz of this color
Ok! So after a lot of questions.... I've finally ordered a machine weft and also a hand sewn, so ill wear both and compare the two! Hopefully I get it delivered next week some time!! Very excited about my 1st install!! Thanks everyone for your advice!

Im new to this forum, i am looking into buying some bohyme hair weft hand sewn. The colour that i thinking of getting is 22/27 (ash blonde with strawberry blonde) just wondering if anyone has had this colour and this brand.
I am looking at the silky straight. is the quality of the hair good?
I had the Brand ""Sleek Hair"" in, Indian Hair after the first wash it went dry/brittle got very knotty. Had this removed after 5 days, so i am wanting something which is going to look natural, feel natural, and still be silky wash after wash. Is bohyme wefts the way forward.
Could you please tell me the pro's and con's of Boyhme hair,
Hi I think thats what i have sitting at home - very gold - i have brought my first lot of boyhme (yet to install) and found it to be very gold in comparison to other hair

Hi everyone I installed the outre batik synthetic hair in the new curly
shape last week. Its been a week and a day and one wash and this is the
nicest I have had synthetic hair feel at this stage This stuff is not
heat resistant and usually non thermo synthetic doesnt even make it to
the one week mark with me if its below my shoulders. I brought it to be

BOHYME /unique wiiv colours the same? Posted: November 19 2007 at 5:51pm
for anyone in australia - crazy clarks have 7 packs of the super/crazy glue for $2 I havent installed the boyhme
yet im saving it to install as close as possible to christmas so its
all nice. In the meantime I installed some dena cali prima thermo which
is usually nice in the straight - i curled it into quite tight curls
using my straightener (my tongs died on me) by making a finger curl and
putting that in the straightener - which made lovely curls but the hair
is less than 2 weeks old and looks...
Which method on your clients? Courses in the UK? Posted: November 03 2007 at 10:01am
avoid connect 2 hair and anything to do with them like the plague...the
owner practically stalked members of this board, and they also have
previously tried to rip off the boyhme brand!

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere you can get silky straight Boyhme
hair but in 16", I have been looking everywhere and have had no luck. I
usually go for quite cheap hair but am sick of replacing it on every
install because the quality is c**p! I do need a blonde 613 aswell as a
dark colour. If anybody knows of anywhere could you please let me know
as I am ready for my next install and am going into panic mode!!! XX
Can anyone help me out? Posted: February 07 2007 at 2:09am
Hi all! I have been looking to purchase some better quality hair for
quite some time now as I have always used cheaper brands i.e £18 for a
5ft weft. I was wondering if anyone had any of their hair left over
that is going to no use and would sell it on to me. I am looking for at
least 2ft of each colour in the smallest 18" in colours 613, 2, 4, 6 or
even 8. Hair I would like to try is D-Lux, Boyhme anything in that range and hair I would not mind giving a go is thermofibre elite just to...

New Install Bohyme/Pro-tape Posted: December 12 2006 at 7:51am
Your just a doll.....hair looks GREAT! I can't believe your hair layers
are hidden....you would never know your hair was short. It looks like
that long hair is growing out of the top of your head. I want to try
adding more to the top side like you....but I'm scared I just put in
the Boyhme
I received from you.....will post pics later. This hair is
lovely....once I barrel curled it......it was just what I wanted. Maybe
I'll TRY the top pieces like you.....maybe.......but your...
What should I do? bad bohyme Posted: December 06 2006 at 12:51pm
how does the bohyme french refined hold up to curling?
I
like big wavy curls for special occassions and the soft wet curls for
everyday. Will that hair give me those two things and last a good 6 to
8 weeks?
I'm still a little confused about what makes bohyme better if anyone feels like explaining it to me.
I
haven't installed my sally hair yet cuz I'm waiting to see the wawa I
ordered. I may want to try my first set of shrinkies with french
refined boyhme hair instead of...
I wanted to ask about blending. I was looking on hairshop.com and love
thier gallery page and all the girls with the colors in thier heads. I
wanted to ask Cali-K, because she was a stylist as well but I guess she
is busy (I don't mind). So I wanted to ask here, I was wondering how I
would I blend blonde bohyme and my own hair with black boyhme hair. I going for a look where my hair is blonde but the black boyhme is blending with my own hair being left out on my top and my sides. Kinda...

bohyme fusion tipped Posted: October 18 2006 at 5:31pm
i think a while back there was chat about this but i didn't find it in
a search.. so i was wondering if anyone has tried this yet. the boyhme
that comes with the tips on it. the price is high on them cioabella is
100.00 for 30 strands! but there were a few other websites that i think
were 70.00 or 75.00. i was wondering if anyone who has tried it or had
a sample of it- if the bonds were gummy (type that comes out with
acetone) or hard(type that comes out with alchol) . i love bohyme wefts
so...
The wave resembles a loose body/spiral curl. While it's pretty while it
scrunched it would be work on either ends(straightening/scrunching) to
make it worth while. Here's what I have: 4oz 14" Natural color(2 on Boyhme)
and 4oz14" Color 22, which is ash/beige..NOT gold at all PM with any
offers (I can provide pics as well) ETA: Will include Protacs
Wagmun Primus Colored Posted: October 09 2006 at 7:41am
Hi Ladies(and gents) Long time.... I'm considering placing an order
with wagmun for a client. What was the overall verdict on their colored
line?(Specifically the blondes) I love the micro wefts, since I'll be
sewing it in. However, I thought I read a while back the blondes were
nothing to right home about?! Otherwise I'll probably go with Boyhme. Any suggestions.....

I've only tried the silky straight in #4 and it's really pretty good. I would say if that's the most you want to spend on hair then go for the ss bohyme.

thanks everyone for response, i will read more about this. Is bohyme the best quality hair you can buy? it does not really bother me what the price is for the wefts i just want good quality blonde hair. I used to have racoon hair strand extensions, they last around 1 weeks before they shedded like mad. I was really impressed by the hair they used, i would like to find some hair of that quality.
Is the silky straight the best to used in bohyme, i will be wearing it both straight and curly, does this hold a curl?
what aftercare products do you used on this hair to keep it in top condition??

nbromley, I would say that Bohyme is a very good quality product. And opinions of what is best will vary from person to person. It is a very good product at a decent price.
As for BLONDE specifically, I will say that MY opinion is that Bohyme is the best hair that I personally have found and used.
The Silky Straight seems to be the most durable and lasts the longest IMO.
Thanks everyone for your response. This site is very good because people do actually used it and reply very quickly.
Iam glad that i made the correct choice using the bohyme brand.
Sherrie i believe that you have a site and sell bohyme hair i couldnt get to find out how much shipping would be to uk including insurance and delivery times could you please let me know. because when recieved my bohyme hair and happy with quality (im sure i will be reading your reviews) i would like to order some brown and recommend bohyme to others,
as mentioned earlier i have ordered hand sewn wefts, can you used liquid gold glue on this, and is this the best way to install them or would pro-tac etc be better.
Do you use just a mild shampoo like baby shampoo if not whats the best?
Oh and someone ask me my hair type, it is european straight quite silky i try to look after it. thats why i choosen the silky range in bohyme.
