I am not sure what it costs to have wefts installed by a pro. I am a DIY princess.
Yes, you can install with LG alone, tape alone or the tape/LG combo. It just depends what works best for each person. I have dry hair and scalp, so I can use either of the adhesives alone or in combo and get a good long hold. I get the longest hold from the tape/LG combo.
LG is a bit messy to work with, but once you get the hang of it (and a syringe works wonders) its a pretty easy method. You can use the glue on the weft and your own hair (in fact thats how the directions say to use it) but I have found that as long as I put a generous amount along the weft/track, its not necessary to put the LG on your own hair too.
some people do rows that run from temple to temple (leaving a half inch to an inch for hairline to cover) and from ear to ear ( at the back, from ear level down, same thing leaving 1/2 inch or so from hairlines)
Others prefer to work in smaller sections. You can do back and sides in smaller sections, shorter pieces. And it may be easier in the beginning.
Usually your crown and bangs area are left free of extensions, unless you are braiding up your hair so non of your natural hair is left out.
I prefer doing one long piece for each row. I find the less edges, the less lifting (the ends are usuallythe first places that may come loose)
How much hair, how many rows, depends on the thickness of your own hair, how much volume you want to achieve and how long you are extending to.
Acetone gets alot of varying opinions. My personal thoughts are that the acetone isnt on the hair that long and it evaporates quickly. Yes it may be drying. I prefer acetone as it works quick for me and removal is very effortless, whereas some other removers work too slow, dont work as well and I find myself not being patient enough and pulling more than I should, and I find that more damaging.
Thanks Sherrie! The demo was really helpful!!
I also like hair closer to the top as I have really short pieces and want them as covered as possible.
If I wear a side part and not center, do I still place the wefts that high up on both sides of side part? I like the idea to cover the top and give a fuller bang! Thanks again!

I wear a side part too and I place each side peice far enough from the part to leave enough hair to cover. (So my left side piece and right side piece are at differnt heights, sometimes I even do two side pieces on the side without the part)
Ms.Honey I dont have a LG/tape demo... I did the demo when I used to use tape alone, but I have edited it since then to include written instructions on adding the LG to the tape.
