Has anyone tried just washing their hair with water only. On this other site they talked of washing only with water allowing their natural sebum to condition the length of their hair. I guess it could be worth a shot.

With bands of rosy hue,
Tie up my sleeves with ribbons rare,
And lace my bodice blue.

that won't necessarily clean  you rhair. Shampoos (and conditioners) have things in them call "surfectants" that remove things on top of the hair strand.

These girls, some of them have just washed their hair with water for months some even a year or two. I don't know their hair seems to look pretty clean. They do complain about their natural hair sebum making thei hair look oily/greasy.

Hey,

I know what site you are talking about because I belong to it as well. It does seem to work for some more than others.

The only time I use only water is during the summer, right after a workout to wash away the sweat/salt residue.  I'm thinking it is best for hair that produce sebum abundantly. Not sure, what are you thoughts on that?

It took me a long time to buy into cowashing but not using anything at all to wash sounds like a recipe for some hot mess smelling hair and crazy dandruff buildup just my 2 cents
