I have baby-fine hair and it is very striaght. Don`t do it! It won`t work and the more goo you use the flatter and greasier it will get. Your best bet, unfortunately, is blunt. I have been experimenting with short hair and layered looks for three years and have given up. You just can`t get the lift you need. I am growing out to blunt bob again. I went to some of the most prominent hairdressers in the southeast too so it wasn`t a matter of bad haircuts. It just won`t work on this type of hair.

I say go for it! I definitely think it would work with straight hair. I have the bedhead look, but I have baby fine curly hair and so many times I have wished it was straight!
There are a few pictures out there of Sharon Stone with the bedhead look (mainly from the movie The Muse) - you could do a search on it - and you`ll find (at least *I* think so) that the cut looks fabulous with straight hair.

thanks for the reply. My hair is really baby fine I guess you can say. STRAIGHT! Unfortunatly. Well not really, I just wish it was a bit thicker. I guess it wouldnt work on me that well. I know the bob works well, but I am interested in something shorter. I have two young children, and I hate it being in my face, yet tired of the pony tail thing, and I want it to look pretty. want want want. :) Heather
I don`t know if your hair is curly or wavy or straight, so it is hard to reply. I have very fine hair but it is wavy and I have alot of it. I have the bedhead do and it works very well. If your hair is very straight it will be harder to achieve. you might try adding single process color to make your hair a bit more coarse. Also, with these short, flippy cuts it is all about putting lots of goo in your hair, like wax, etc. That helps. My advice is to ask your stylist if he/she thinks your hair will respond to such a cut.
