chicknoodle...NO this is NOT normal! You should NOT lose 32 strands in 3 weeks with your own hair coming out at the roots. Without seeing them its hard to say what the problem might be. They will grow back, dont panic but defintely be concerned and make her check them out to see if they were installed correctly.

Hi girls,
I just got my first extentions from the Donna Bella line (beads) my hair is holding up really well, the only problem is I have been losing the strands and with that my own hair comes out by the roots.Cry now its only a few strands but I am afraid it will never grow back, (i have very thin hair) The girl put in 160 and i have lost 32 so far and we are only in our third week of my extentions. Is she doing something wrong or is this normal for them to be falling out? I use my special brush and i wash my hair every three days. I have been really careful with my hair not to pull to hard. any advice would be greatly appreciated.. Im worried, i go back to see her this week.Disapprove any advice would be greatly appreciated..Hug

I do not reccomend Doctoredlocks.com  It's affordable but tangles like crazy and loses it's shine within a couple weeks.  It also comes with too many white hairs.  In a jam, they ship fast and are cheap but I'm currently looking for better quality.  I'd like to try http://www.trueindianhair.com/ but I wonder if my color (#2) is too light for virgin indian hair?

Well, I'm not using shrinkies; just straight keratin (nail tips) which is what this hair is supposed to be. I don't use shampoos with sulfates and have never seen a bond break down *this fast* or easily.

I've haven't had any shedding yet, and I washed it today, but I did add some keratin to some of the ones that didn't look so hot, and tryed some in shrinkies so we'll see, I keep ya updated, but that really sucks fina fina.

DO NOT USE THE FUSION TIPS FROM indianhairexport. Sorry I haven't yet reported. I just installed them last week and they shed like CRAZY, to the point where I just went ahead and took them out. The hair is good (I think) but you can literally remove the fusion strands without even using pliers!

Personally donnabella is my favorite, but I haven't tried the tips from the other sources MsHoney mentioned (except for Yourhairshop, which is a good value for the money, but I haven't tried the blondes from there yet) . .

You're welcome. www.yourhairshop.com has a good rep and great prices. www.indianhairexport.com is being tested now. There was a problem with slow shipping comng direct from India but it appears many vendors were experiencing that at the same time. There shipping was also very expensive but it still may even out and be a good deal. You may want to compare the two prices. I believe www.mymaneattractions.com is selling pre-tips, great quality and excellent prices. You can email them and Karen sells them, just click the Store link at the top of this page.

Hello,

I have used a lot of www.extensions-plus.com pretipped hair before.  It is good stuff.  The only problem is that each tip is a little skimpy, so it takes more to get the thickness.  Also, the price is a little high.

You may also want to check out www.donnabellahair.com   I have used their fusion hair a few times and it seems ok so far.

I use a medium brown with a few blond highlights. I've definately noticed that the blond gets the rattiest faster. I'm assuming this is b/c the hair is more processed. Anyways, I'm not especially partial to the blond and have been going more brown anyways lately (my natural color).

Any suggestions? Thanks for the quick response!

Hi Angelka,
What color hair are you looking for? The blondes from most vendors get mixed reviews.

Hello all. I've really enjoyed reading all the posts; you guys have so much great information and I was wondering if you could help me with something.

What's the best quality, longest lasting pre-tipped hair? Something that will hold up well w/o tangling and getting dull?

I know alot of people like to tip their own (I've heard you can use a higher quality of hair that way) but with 3 kids (4 if you count my husbandWink) there's no way I'd have the time or the patience.

So, what are your recommendations? Also, any tips on keeping your hair as tangle free and shiney as possible in the meantime?

Thanks so much! Can't wait to hear the responses!
