My hair is somewhat wavy (not enough to be pretty, but enough to be a pain). I use a straightening balm and a hair dryer to make it straight. The problem is that I live in WV and the humidity here in the summer is unbearable. I could be having the best hair day, but that generally changes once I go outside. Once my hair is out in the humidity, it just goes wild on me. It starts flipping up in places and gets a little frizzy. It doesn`t get too frizzy, the flipping up is the main problem. Does anyone know of a product or have any suggestions as to the best way to keep my hair from absorbing the moisture?

I live in south Florida and the humidity does a number on my hair too. Only my hair is naturally straight and thin so it just looks greasy and flat. Why not try a style that goes with your wave? I would love to have hair that got bigger in humidity. I guess we always want what we don`t have.

Thanks for the advice, but unfortunately that`s where the "not enough to be pretty, but enough to be a pain" thing comes in. I`ve tried to style it to enhance the waves, but it just ends up looking like a disaster. :( On the up side, I`ve been letting it grow out so at least it`s long enough to pull up when I want to. I just don`t like doing that very often.

Have you tried a perm? I have wavy headed friends who swear by them. They really work much better for you guys than people with hair like mine (not fair but what can you do) since your hair is stronger and won`t break off. That might enhance your wave just enough to have the new sexy, wavy look, sort of like JLo.

I live in MS, where the humidity is intolerable. I have found much success with John Freida`s Frizz Ease extra strength straightening balm when I want to go straight. Otherwise, I use the secret weapon and go curly.
