How are you using the goldwell blonding creme? Alone or mixed in with a toner? What level developer are you using, and what brand?

I love goldwell but have also used well a with great success.

Edit: OK I see you're using it with an 11. Could be the 11 color you are using. Also, you want to mix it in, no more than 50% of the total color. If you use blonding creme alone it can prevent the toner from taking if applied after.

do you reccomend another colour besides 11p which will counteract the gold/ yellow tones?

I'm pretty dark naturally with grey mixed in. Probably a level 3 or 4 with about 35% grey. I use the regular blonding creme (not ash) mixed into the topchic 10P and 30 vol developer, all goldwell. I leave it on my roots for 30 mins and then pull through the rest of my hair for the remaining 10 mins (not each time, just when the ends need a lift). And I have no gold at all in my hair anymore. When I use bleach I use 20v developer, but the blonding creme/toner route needs higher. The developer level is very important with this and that may be why you are still gold. Also, be sure that if you have, for example, 3oz color before adding the developer (it's 1 to 1 for the 10s, but check for the 11s), that 2oz is the toner and 1oz is the blonding creme. Then add 3oz (if 1 to 1) 30vol developer and that should work. The 11p should come out nice with this mix.

Please do a strand test first! :) Good luck!

Great! One more thing, if you ever use the blonding creme alone don't put it directly on your scalp. It should only go directly on your scalp if you have it mixed in with the topchic. And you can save the rest of your blonding creme for your next application. There should be at least half of the 2oz tube left.

I learned all this on this board from the wonderful ladies and from Claude. It really works, and my hair has never been in better condition since going blonde.

Have fun :)

i think im gona do a few strand tests as your the same level hair colour as me and your hair looks very natural so im going to try the level 10 and the blonde creme aswell as the 11p again  i may even try loreal as they do a level 12! im gonna double check on the developer as you said this was important. fingers crossed!!
