QuoteReplyTopic: new install today - need advice Posted: December 10 2007 at 8:09pm
Just installed my clip ins today. yippie!!! I have a question that I thought some of you could help me with. What do you do about windy days? I have fine hair and at the crown it's a little thin (that's why I clipped my hair back). I'm worried when it's windy the wefts will show. Is there any cheap tape that I can use to tape a little of my hair on top of the weft on a daily basis? This isn't a great picture as the hair looks choppy on the right side and it's usually not. Any help or advice is appreciated!!

I wear clipins all the time... I don't know about the tape ...that may work, too, but I usually tease up my hair in the spot where the clip is snapped in, then I tease again over the top of the clip and use a little hair spray. I live in the windiest place on earth and, even eith my very fine hair, The clips never show. Hope that helps.

I wear them all the time and have NO problem even on windy days. I do not apply them high up on the crown, because my own hair is as long as the extensions. I do a track toward the the bottom of my hair line and then one right about ear level, but they are anchored in because I tease where I make my part then put some spritz- I use tre semme( sp??) spritz . Then I blow dry it where I sprayed it. It creates a strong and solid base for the clip. There is a good tutorial on the board about how to put them in. I think Metalgirl posted it a long time ago.
Good luck. Your pic looks great. I also posted pics on another tread about getting highlights. Have a look and give me your opinion if you have time.
Happyholidays.

Thanks you so much for the advice. I'm in Dallas and it's always windy here. hehe I'll try to tease the hair more as my clipins have been slipping quite a bit - when I blow my hair straight it makes my hair super slick.
