Hi all!

I've been a stylist for over 13 years and I'm just getting into hair extensions.
I was just wondering if anyone has advice on companies that offer good quality hair extensions? Also, I need to figure out what my prices are going to be for putting in hair extensions. Can anyone let me know what you would charge for putting in extensions? I want to be affordable and competitive and I live in a small town (roughly 100,000 people).

I guess I'm looking for any information on getting started in the extension business.

Thank you!!!

hi
first off find at least two methods you are interested in and get certified.
from there, you will know what to charge and where to get your supplies- most companies you get certified with supply hair and then you can also do research to fine tune your materials and buy in larger quantities to keep on hand. what state and city are u located in.
are there any methods that interest you more?

Hello Krazy4kravitz, congratulations you have hit a gold mine. Like Tangles said, learn as many methods as possible, because one method does not fit every client. I have definately learned that. Attend hairshows, the training is less expensive. To tell the truth you can get certified by a large extension company, but the training comes from your clients. Experience is the key. Are you doing any type of hair extension methods? If your in a tight fix you can purchase educational DVD's. At least they are repetitive and you can always go back and view what you have learned.

The last thing is, if extensions are very new to you, it will take awhile to kinda know what methods you are comfortable with. The good thing is you have been in this business over a decade, so I know you will do really well.

Good luck on your journey, I would love to be more help. PM me if you'd like.
Shiry
