The 'standard' size for frontals are 13x2 and 13x4.  For better coverage, I always order 13x8. 

 

If you get 13x8, you would use less than 4 oz. of wefted hair;

but for 13x2 and 13x4, you would use about 4oz or more of wefted hair. 

 

It also depends on the volume you are trying to achieve.

 

Although my hairline measurements are 11.5-12", I always order the 13" because it seems as though when vendors make the frontals, they always make the frontals shorter along the hairline measurements.
