Okay Ladies,
I think I need to do a bleach bath on my lite yaki unit. Initially I was not experiencing tangles and poofiness, but now I am. Do you think I need to do a bath? If so, I don't have silicone mix to follow up with, so what BBS conditioner do you all recommend?
I use nexxus therappe on my own hair and LF b/c it leaves both with moisture and body!! Others with chime in but I think the pantene line and tresseme are both good for LFs too.
You may not need a BB yet. Wash and condition really well (you can even pop your LF in the microwave for 10 to 20 sec with conditioner in a plastic baggie for a deep condition). Comb out and let dry it should help.

if your experiencing tangles starting usually at the nape and you have to constantly keep combing then you do.. you don't always have to use silicon altho its good tresemme smooth and sikly is great try that!
I will try a good deep conditoner with the suggested products and try popping in the wave. I will watch closely as to how it is tangling. I will keep you all posted.
Thanks Divas!!!

I love L'Oreals Nature Therapy I ABSOLUTELY have to use this on my hair atleast every other wash....and I love to use it after I do BB...because I don't have any SM.
Also I use thie conditioner after any color treatment it brings the pH level back to normal...I also love it.

I vote for the tressemme line ( I love it) Also Infusium is a great conditioner, it leaves the hair soft, flowing & with a great smell. I tend to shy away from BB as long as possible. I've never really had to do one on my units. If you experiencing tangling on your yaki, try a Baking soda bath first to remove all the excess product build-up.
Then shampoo with all the hair going in the same direction. For nape issues, I always apply conditioner to the nape first, nice & generous. then I wrap the whole thing in a toasty towel & lock it into a tupperware. 30 minutes later & rinse. I apply biosilk on EVRYTHING...
Now, I know we're supposed to embrace out inner white girl BUT for my yaki, I've found that a mixture of Motion's LIGHT oil moisturizer (quartersize) mixed with biosilk (dime size) dollaps really make all the difference. Once it dries & you comb through, no more nape issues...

JLTabron, I decided to bleach bath one of my units late one night and the only store open was Wal-Mart, I purchased MOTION’s (black product) shampoo and conditioner and I loved it so whenever I am out of my silicon products I use that.
