I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this or heard of it. It involves a chelating shampoo, then a cuticle sealer then a reconstructor, then you use the intense hydrator. I think you do it once or twice a week. I was wondering if anyone tried this or knows if the ingredients are worth it. I am new to this my hair is 2 inches past my shoulders, the longest it's been in years and I have pretty resilient hair. I flat iron about 3-4X a week and wash and blow dry every day and dye it often and it's still healthy but now that I've read some of the other posts I want to take better care of it and have stopped dying it, flat ironing as often, and started conditioning daily. I have to wash daily I have extremely oily scalp and I have tried all the techniques possible but nothing helps. I am currrently using Redken all soft shampoo and conditioner. I also wanted to know what products do you use? Sorry for the long post thanks ya'll Big%20smile

I've never tried the Joico, but I wonder why anyone would need a chelating shampoo so frequently (unless they have well water with lots of iron and copper in it).  It does have a good use, it can remove metals from metal-having dyes, making redying easier with less uncertainty due to metals in some dyes.

So, if you quit dyeing it, and you don't have metaly water, it may not be necessary to use the shampoo part of it at least.  I don't know about the other parts.

As for an oily scalp, the best thing I ever did for that was use Dave's dilution method (dilute your shampoo, only the amount you'll use at a time, roll to mix, don't shake).  It will make your scalp stop overproducing oil because its getting too dried out by over-concentrated shampoo.  You may find you can even go an extra day between washes with this method.
