They describe Biolustre as : "EMS patented cross-linking polymer formula is heat activated so that it bonds to your hair (not just coats it) and changes the molecular structure, bringing it back to a virgin state AND IT DOES NOT WASH OUT."
I have gone ahead and ordered it because I have heard great things about it. I already use several hair treatments like Nexxus emergencee and Grund Tiger Reconstructor --- very good.
I'm wondering if anyone has used Biolustre on extension hair. What particularly interests me is the "cross linking polymer" technology since I've heard that Wagman does something similar to their hair when they process it. This could be something we could use on hair that has gotten worn out but is still re-usable! What I'm worried about is getting the Biolustre and then ONLY using it on my natural hair since it's so expensive and my hair could use it!

You know what...that is so simple, that it just might work! Never even thought of doing that! I guess I could just take out the "extensions" part of the title and text. One thing I know...I will post a review once I use it. i will use it on some older blonde hair that I have waiting for re-installation! Thanks for your response.

LOL! I know...I'll tell you...I never used to bother with spending money on special conditioners. I used to think they were all the same and nothing could really change your hair. Well, nothing can FIX your hair. But, there are some products out there that can APPEAR to fix your hair and keep it on your head looking good!
One of those is Grund Tiger Reconstructor. If you can get your hands on this ladies, your hair will thank you. I found some on Ebay for cheap by chance and took my time trying it since i really didn't think it would be as good as all these hairdressers were saying it was! Well...after I used it as a deep treatment, I couldn't stop touching and looking at my hair for days. I didn't even want to put my extensions in because my hair was so shiny and soft. If you are trying to build your hair back up or grow out your hair, the Grund is fantastic. The only reason I want to try the Biolustre is because I'm saving the Grund for my OWN hair!!!
No, sorry Mokiponi, I haven't gotten it yet. I just ordered it last week, so it's gonna be at least another two weeks before I receive it (I live way up North Canada!). Believe me, I can't wait to try it. Glad you guys aren't letting me forget to leave my review!

Fakeizme, thanks for posting this. It seems like a great product! The price isn't so bad considering that you get four different products.
You have to tell us how it works. It's on my list now too!
LOL! You got it Frenchie! I will FOR SURE let you know my opinion of it when I use it. It does sound like a miracle product, but I won't expect miracles! I just want to see if it's makes a difference (softness, smoothness and shine).
You know, there are some sellers on Ebay that are selling JUST the Revive treatment (which is what I care most about) for about $20. That's a great price considering the treatment in the salon can run up to $100! i wouldn't worry about getting the shampoo and conditioner with it, as long as your hair is clarified before you use it.
OK...here I go thinking I know what I'm talking about when I haven't even received it yet! Please forgive me. I will be back. Don't let me forget to post a review.

Good Morning Fakezime - Biolustre works very very good. You will see a difference after the first use. I'm sure you read the directions for use - when you put the revive - making sure not to comb it since this the hair can break off. Although the product is very good, I have heard from some hairstylists that the product actually contains some product that in the longrun isn't good for the hair. They described it as "plastic" on the hair. I guess just be careful with not using the product to much. With every good thing there always seems one little downfall. The hair will look great though lol

Oh Karissa, thank you! That really helps a lot. So glad to hear that someone has used it AND seen a difference on the hair. Did you find it difficult to wash out? That seems like a common problem. You are right about the 'plastic' effect because of the co-polymers. In fact, when I use Nexxus Emergencee, it leaves the same co-polymers on the hair, but I LOVE the way my hair feels after using it! Nothing has ever made an immediate difference like the Emergencee (well, Grund is pretty darn good too!) My hair seems to love protein in ANY form. I think it's the bleaching. I could use a protein treatment every week (and almost do) and never have dry crunchy hair like some complain about. OK Karissa, you've made me so excited to use this product! Thanks again!

Krimsa, pretty much my thoughts exactly!!! You are right, it would a temporary fix, but 'temporary' can make quite an impact. I used to poo poo the use of conditioners on my bleached hair because nothing could 'fix' it, but when I discovered these polymer-type conditioners and heavy protein conditioners, my hair changed. My hair does not break at all anymore and it looks really healthy even though it's bleached. I guess the Biolustre would be more effective on 'blonde' extensions or double-processed hair since they will have some sort of damage to them. it would have little to no impact on healthy or hardly damaged hair.
Sure, I agree! I dont mind something temporary if it works or makes my hair look nicer or shinier in the short term. The concern about "build up" with the product might have something to do with the coating process so as long as you dont use it too often, its probably a good find. Lets us know how it works.

Yeah, the buildup could be a problem, for sure. I use a clarifying shampoo mixed with baking soda at least once a week, so that's not a problem for me. I also think if you keep your hair clarified, you get MORE from conditioners/treatments.
I will for sure keep you posted on how it works when I get it! I'm so excited to try it --- yeah, I know, I need to get a life!!

OK...just wanted to bring this back up! I received the biolustre this week and I'm dying to try it! tomorrow (Friday) is wash day, so I will use it on both my natural hair (on top) and my extensions (tape/glue) and see what happens.
OK, my lovelies. I am back as promised with my review of Biolustre (although late!). *This is extremely long -- go get a coffee!*
This is the professional version --- I guess there is a home version (likely less effective or potent). The seller I bought if from athomeskincare.com includes instructions with the 4oz product I ordered. (She gave me some samples of other products as well --- very impressed!).
Anyway, this is how I used it. I clarified my hair with baking soda and Neutrogena Anti-Residue shampoo. Love the feel of my hair when I do this --- not drying at all. After towelling off outside of my shower and towel drying my hair a bit, I applied the Biolustre in sections starting from the nape. The product is not what I expected it to feel like. I was expecting it to be like Nexxus Emergencee (gel-like), but it's more like Aphogee (liquid), just not as messy. It does not stink like Aphogee either. After I finished applying it, I aimed the blowdryer (hand-held) at my head and commenced drying. It did get hard as I was expecting.
Now, here's the thing. After about two hours of drying (I sat outside for awhile) I rinsed it out in the shower. I DID NOT shampoo it! i know it says to do so, but I didn't. I never rinse any of my other protein treatments out of my hair, so I wanted to see how this compared. The water softened it and I just rinsed and rinsed. My hair did not feel coated.
Back out of the shower, I immediately applied a moisturizing heavy conditioner --- Neutrogena Triple Moisture mixed with olive oil and coconut oil. Protein treatments always leave your hair dry and coarse-feeling if you don't do this. That's MY experience anyway. My hair felt pretty soft as soon as I did this -- like it always does. Now, because this was Friday night; I just slept overnight with the conditioner on my head. Works great this way. I also use heat on it to make it penetrate more.
Well, Saturday, after I rinsed out the moisturizing conditioner, my hair felt great! Very soft & moisturized, but it did feel a bit thicker or coarser. It felt a slight bit coated (likely because the biolustre was not shampooed out), I was OK with that. I did my usual: blowdry, flat iron routine. Hair felt fantastic and shiny with lots of movement. But...my hair (and extensions) always feel good when I do all that! I am not sure if the Biolustre made a huge difference or not!
What I want to see is how the Biolustre wears after a few shampoos this week. Will it eventually fade out and feel better or will it just wash out? Maybe I will notice a huge change once it has been shampooed (as I was supposed to do!)
All in all, I think the Biolustre is good and effective. I think because my extensions are not overly damaged (#613), there is not going to be a major change in them. This stuff is for severely damaged hair. I will say, though, that I prefer the feel of my hair after using Nexxus Emergencee or Sebastian Penetraitt than the Biolustre. Aphogee is also pretty good.
I will report back after a washing or two to see what happens! Sorry for the length!! Are you still there?

Thanks for the follow up. That was really descriptive. I wonder what is that product supossed to do exactly? Is the intention to "re-coat" extension hair in silicone that has lost it through washing?
