I received a call this morning from a lady that said I was listed with
her insurance company Aetna for lace wig purchases and she wanted to
know how much my units are. I went on to give her some detailed info
and she asked if I still accepted Aetna. I told her that I didn't deal
personally with insurance companies, that she would first need to
purchase the unit, I would supply her with a detailed, medically termed
invoice to turn into her insurance company and then they would
(depending on her plan/if she qualifies) reimburse her for the unit.
She
goes on to say how Aetna told her that I was a listed provider and that
I would be able to file a claim through them for her unit???????
Come on now lady, how crazy do you think I am?
Ya'll have got to stop this LF craze. Got people trying all types of stunts to get a wig

that's crazy but whats more crazier is a lady store i went to before i started wearing lf. i called she said that she had some for $250 and up so i went to see the lf she had when i got there she showed me two (she only had two in the whole store lieing to me to get me down there) ok so i ask her how much the one wig was she said $1800 ( it did not look all that) i said what happen to the lf wigs for $250 and up u were talking about on the phone, so she's looking around in boxes and stuff , trying to find a cheaper one so she pulls out this dusty ass box from the bottom of the cabinet with bss wigs in it and told me these are 100 and up if i wanted to take a look. i wanted to slap that women, she must have thought i was stupid or something , i was so mad b/c i wanted to get one without ordering off the net and get it put on.dont go to "NATIONWIDE WIG IMPORTS"in Connecticut, the lady will try to rob u .

Girllllll, sometime I don't think they think we're stupid.... I think their just stupid or don't know any better I'm a stylist/certified hair replacement specialist and today (Mon) is the only real time I have to catch up on things. Any other time she would've talked to my assistant and she probably would've got her, lol. I have to put her up on the new games ladies are playing.

well i think that's something she needs to do, i do know that its a tax deductions and that some insurances pay for them but i'm not certain that its something you need to file as opposed to the client filing for it as a reimbursement..
If you are going through cancer-related therapy, treatment for alopecia, or if you are in need for a lace hair system for a medical related issue, your purchase might be covered by your health insurance company. Most health insurance will cover anywhere between 80-100% when purchasing a "CRANIAL HAIR PROSTHESIS" (this varies depending on the insurance company). Do not use the word "WIG” or “LACE HAIR SYSTEM” when dealing with your insurance company, you should get a written prescription or note from your doctor stating the medical issue, and the need for a "CRANIAL HAIR PROSTHESIS". If you will need a sales receipt mailed or faxed to you or your insurance company for your "cranial hair prosthesis". So its your responsibility as the insurance holder to file a claim for reimbursement.

@ Sexi, thanks babe, this is listed on my site and I did tell her the procedure (insurance claims) but she insisted otherwise. Now that I think about it, I used to head my fathers cleaning service. We have the contract for our local dept. for families & children's building and getting the government to pay their bill is like pulling teeth, I can only imagine an INSURANCE company.

yes i edited my previous post, so yea she's scamming its her responsiblity to get the prescription from her doctor with letters as well from the doctor to be considering and approved by her insurance company, and its only after she makes the initial purchase and presents receipts with all the documtation to the insurance company, its not your responsibility to get paid like that.. she's trying you
