Hello, hope someone can help me figure out what to do with my hair. I think you'd want to know a bit about me to answer this question. I'm in my late 60's, dress fairly fashionably, and weigh 120 pounds. a patient in a pain clinic. Maybe the medicines cause my hair to think or maybe it's my DNA. I have a pink spot in the crown of my hair. I like to wear my hair very short because lifting my arms above my shoulders hurts a lot. In response to a hair stylist's suggestion, I began wearing it a bit longer (1 inch below my ear) and had it low-lighted to a flax color. I don't want to style my hair every day (spoiled by body waves over the years, I guess). If I don't, I look pretty bad. Does anyone have a good solution?
What are you doing to your hair every day? Straightening? Curling? How is your natural hair, straight or curly? It seems like you are asking for help choosing a style.
As for thinning, sometimes medications can cause thinning, so can stress. (I'd assume if you are in a lot of pain, you are probably stressed about it, I would be). There's not much you can do about thinning, other than trying to root out what is causing it. A blunt cut (which it sounds like you might have already - a short bob?) is the best way to make hair appear thicker.
