I have used the purple shampoo twice now. Not a whole lot of difference but my hair is very shiny and soft. There is a new problem though. My roots are starting to look dark at my scalp. Already! I had it bleached just last week, so why is this happening so fast? It is more noticable around my hairline at my temples and and aroun my forehead. Can I use a toner in a very light shade? My hair is light yellow, very light yellow in some places. The ends are more light yellow whereas the yellow lightens as it goes to my root and then I see this darkness at my scalp. This is getting very frustrating but I am not near eadt to give up yet!

Thanks

Is the darkness at your scalp your roots coming in? Or a dye problem? I've noticed that my hair grows only during 2 weeks out of the month (female cycle), and it grows its whole monthly half inch in that two weeks, and doesn't grow at all in the other two weeks.  Perhaps your roots didn't grow in as fast other times because it happened to be before the two weeks when your hair was resting, and now its growing time.

If its your roots coming in, a toner isn't going to bleach them, they will have to be redone with a similar process that lightened the rest of your hair.

I am not really sure. This is my first time bleaching (see previous thread) When I bleached, my roots around my temples and forehead wanted to stay dark  and did not look like they had been bleached. I can't tell if its actually my roots or just dark for some reason on my scalp, and my stylist had the same problem when he bleached it. Its weird, but when he put the toner on the dark places around my temples and forehead were gone. Weird huh? I was thinking of using the fancifull rinse, its cheap, and I have read on here that many have success with it taking out the yellowness. Would this be a good idea? Or a toner?

That is weird!  Well, hey, if it worked before, maybe it'd work again.  I don't understand why it did that before.  Since you have a special occasion coming up, I'd still do a test strand.  It probably won't be any problem at all using those, but it doesn't hurt to make sure before a special occasion. (There have been problems in the past with the toners making white hair too gray looking, that's what you'd want to watch out for in a test strand).
