I've decided to give LF's another try and I got a KS from Holly.  I love the texture and softness but not the poof.  What can I use to lightly relax it?

I took a chance and applied the Ogilvie Straightner to my unruly Kinky and it turned out perfect (I'll post pics later, I'm supposed to be writing my ECON term paper ).  The Straightner processes extremely fast so move quick or you'll end up with silky straight hair.

Steps:
1.  Part hair in a "U" shape at the top to make a small pony tail and clip together so its not in the way (I wanted to keep the top layer untouched).
2.  Apply moisturizing conditioner to unit and 1/2 of the leave in conditioner that comes with the kit.
3.  VERY quickly comb Ogilvie Straightner through the unit ( I only used 1/2).
4.  Rinse well.
5.  Apply neutralizer, comb through and let sit 5 mins, rinse, towel dry.
6.  Apply remainder of leave in and a bit of Lacio-Lacio to unit, comb through and let air dry.
7.  Apply castor oil hair dress and thermal protectant to unit.
8.  Lightly flat iron.

Thanks for the tip.  I have a kinky straight that I'd given up on because of the "poof".  Loved the texture, but it was just too much hair for me to handle.  I'll have to give the Ogilvie a try.
