Hello, I was just wondering if someone could tell me how to create the 1920`s hair look? You know, like the fingerwave thing? I`ve been wanting to do it for qute sometme but I just can`t get it! Does anyone know how or give me a helpful website or book? I figure if they could do it back then, I most certainly can do it now! Please help :)
That`s a nice look lady. I used to date a young lady, a good lookin brunette with that style of hair, very foxyl lady. She went to a hairdresser to have it done.
Wish you luck with the style woman!

WOW! Finger waves. What a blast from the past. The last I heard, cosmetology schools were still teaching the technique. I hadn`t done any for some time until a few years ago when the swing kids started asking for them to complete their dance outfits.
Here is a web site with nice illustrations for finger waves and other retro styles:
Those finger wave hairstyles from the 20s and 30s really are cute, sexy styles. I have never had my hair done like that but once in a while you see a woman with that sort of style.
Sometimes you see African-American women wearing finger wave perms, close to the head and slicked to one side. I think those are pretty styles.
