Rach74, it is possible that you got some low quality hair, if your extensions turn out to be ratty looking and frizzy after a couple shampoo. It could be non remy hair with a silicone coating, so when the coating comes off, then it's a tangled mess, not much to do about it.

You should ask your salon if the hair was remy or cuticled aligned.

What you can do to help with the texture now is using a good flat iron (invest in a good one, it is worth it) and use some silicone serum on wet hair before blowdrying.

Maybe you can try to do your extensions yourself and this way you'll control the quality of the hair you're wearing!Wink

I agree with Frenchie it sounds like its possible they sold you some very low quality to average low quality hair for this install. Very often they coat the hair in silicone which adds weight to it (so they can sell less hair for more money) and it also makes the hair look attractive at purchase. Once you wash it a couple times, that coating is scrubbed away and you are left with what the hair actually is, crap.

The only thing I could personally suggest is getting rid of this hair and trying to buy virgin, unprocessed hair. If that is out of your price range, at least Remy, cuticle aligned hair that will last for some time.
