Hello all, I have had a relaxer in my hair  for the last 12 yrs and now I want to go natural. I already started the transitioning period. So far so go, probably because my hair is still pretty relaxed. When my hair gets to be less manageable I was thinking of getting a weave sewn in. Since I AMnot chopping my hair off and inorder to hide the new growth as well as not avoiding heat like flat irons. But I am interested in knowing what other ways do you suggest for transitioning. Some have said extensions (braids) but i fell like it pull the hair. So if anybody have any suggestions let me know

I do not recommend a full weave.  You need treat your hair while it is transitioning.  You need to moisturize it, and give it protein so it does not break at the line (the line between the relaxed and natural hair).  So wear protective styles and follow some of the tips on the board.  I hope that helps.

Yes to everything vanity said. There is lots you can do and try to get your hair in order. Believe me I've transitioned and it isn't anywhere near as hard as everyone thinks it is. :)
