QuoteReplyTopic: Wave Direction Change-up Posted: October 14 2008 at 12:05am
Wassup fellas.....I've been away from the forum for a minute but not from the wave game. I had gotten the 360s down pretty good and even was getting asked advice by some of my soldiers on how I get my waves so tight. The best part is when some of my white counterparts get so amazed at the "complete circles" that tend to form on my head as they call them.
But lately I had the urge to try something different. I remember a thread awhile ago when a guy was asking about waves going backwards. I remember when I use to wear my hair back in a ponytail or afro puff I use to have these big waves that would go backwards. Then I went to visit my older aunt and saw her beautiful black silky hair pulled back into a ponytail w/ these big waves flowing back. Then it struck me.......I should try that.
So now this will be my on running thread of my backward waves......I will reference them as "Reverse Waves"
I have already cut my hair down super low (which I may not have needed to do but I felt it would be easier to keep the groomed appearance since again Im an instructor in the Army).
The direction change process has already began and the waves have formed. Now Im just working on the depth of the waves and the uniformity as they go from left to right across the top and flows straight back.
Stay tuned.......
Pics are coming......
And feel free to comment .......
-----I know this is a 360 forum but hopefully I wont get kicked out for going Against The Grain-----
STAY TUNED

whack...but no disrespect. do u u mght pull it off no disresp
For one Im not going to take it as disrespect and 2...your post is difficult to read.
Now to comment on your post..... Im not using a perm at all so there fore it wont be a "slick back" and as for as it being a style for sweethearts.......if you're refering to gay people, I am far from gay.
If you read the beginning post Im only attempting this to just try something different and so far ones who see it are loving it.
And on the positive of this style...I dont have to worry about my lady rubbing my hair the WRONG direction now......She loves how it flows backwards.
