I am a 61yo grandma. For years, i have colored my hair, usually med. brown. it is coming in salt and pepper, and i want to have it like that. But..earlier this year, i tried taking the old color, which had faded, out with a product. it left my hair ORANGE..i had to go re-color, to hide it. it is growing out again, and about teh last 3" of my hair is a sorta caramel. I dont want to color, again, unless it is lighter..but i dont want to get a color remover that will turn me orange again. A salon is not an option, i cannot do the cost ($). If anyone at all can tell me, if the product Color Oops will at least neutralize the sorta caramel, on the ends? Or any advice at all..like would sun in or such help? anything at all, i would so much appreciate it! Thanksgiving is coming up..and i want to look nice at the family gathering

Please don't use SUN IN in your hair because if you have it may "react" oddly with any color or peroxide. In a bad way, To many hair pros horror!!!  Some say it reacted like metallic colors were put on & started to react.

Do you remember which type of product & developer you used in the past and also How much percentage of gray do you have? Thank you.

Hi..Thanks for the reply, it helps. I used Nice N Easy, last,to correct the severe orangey..it turned it sorta orange/caramel, which was at least not too freaky for my granddaughters baby shower.Big%20smile But, it is growing out,and i am not really wanting to go dark, again, to hide the colored parts..i am about 50% gray, the rest is silver..i like the look. Not sure, how to get the last 3-4" of the unusual color gone, tho..i would just let it grow out, on it's own, but it is holiday time, with parties, pictures..etc. and I dont want to look awful. It is not long enough, either, where i could just cut all that part off. ANY ideas are surely appreciated. I was thinking, if nothing else, i can just do a caramel blonde, maybe? thanks,so much..for the help.Star
