Good luck.Only other suggestion I have is getting a bunch of highlights and slowly lightening that way.Alot of people rave about the color oops and color zap though...

I dont know, you could try Color Oops or color zap.Since you only dyed it the one color it could take you back to your original color.Worst case scenerio is you dye it to a color closer to what you want after you use it.
Hi. I have been scouring the forums to try to find a topic that addresses this, but after about 20 pages in, I am just going to ask for advice. My natural hair color is a pretty bright red. (pic below, me on right)
sooooo. in the summer i changed my hair color to this:
the grow out is less than flattering, as my roots are wayy lighter than the above color. The puzzling thing about this is, when we dyed my hair darker, we used a semi-permanent mahogany shade and it is just NOT washing out ... more at the ends, but definitely not in the middle. I am really terrified of the orange result of stripping and the damage it might do to my hair. My hair is thickthickthick. I'm not wanting to dye it again. I just want my natural coloring back. Is this normal with semi-permanent color to take so long in washing out? It was dyed back in July '08. Anything you can think of without stripping or years of awkward grow out?
