ok so about 9 months ago i dyed my hair so many times, so many different colors to try different things and when i finally bleached my hair to make it a little bit lighter it just broke off, so i decided to do a light brown but it kept fading back to blonde so then i put a medium brown and still the same thing so then i put a burgundy and i liked it but it faded away fast so then i finally just did it dark brown to match my roots and my natural hair color.... that was about 2 1/2 months ago...... i did many deep conditioning, treatments, and hot oils........my hair is finally shiny and wayyyyyy healthier with very little damage but i cant stand the way i look with dark hair and i want to lighten up to at least a light brown....i bought a box of haircolor by loreal paris superior preference meant for dark hair in a ultra light ash brown but i tried a strand and it came out to a reddish brown what do i doooooooooo???

That's alot of dyeing.I wouldnt color it all over if I were you.Instead why not add highlights all around to lighten some without having to color ALL of it?
You should try to go to a professional for this as most at home highlighters turn out reddish on dark hair.

I understand your situation I am a natural level 3-4 and have been a level 8 for 3 years now! Blue bleach will give you the right shade of blond highlights-I use Ion it comes in a purple package. I am a huge Ion fan. I have kept healthy long blonde hair by using all Ion. I could not live without my Sallys card! I first had my hair highlighted all over then when it was safe a month or two I started using a 30developer and 7N blonde and gradually lifted up with 40 developer and a 9N!! It is possible with the right products. The box stuff at the store is terrible for your hair!! I just notice a lot of people don't suggest it, but I love my hair lighter as I am getting older and have to camo the gray!!! It is very possible for you to get the right shade of light brown or lighter!! Go for it!!!
