lace wig making

For those of you who make lace wigs, how did you learn? Did you attended classes or purchase dvds? Who's dvd's are good? And where do you buy supplies? I'd love to learn how to do this, I've been experimenting with making weft wigs, but they don't compare to lace wigs by any stretch of the imagination! Plus I'd love to learn how to fix up my LW when it sheds. It's only two months old but I'd love to keep it intact as long as possible.
