Hey everyone! A little over a week ago, my friend bleached my hair. My natural color is medium brown, and the bleach looks okay, but I really don't want the upkeep of blond hair. I'd like to re-dye it dark brown, but I'm afraid of it looking greenish or the dye fading and the bleach color showing through. Any advice?

You will need to use a filler to fill in the colour bleach removes then apply a demi or permanent colour over this. Use a brown with gold to avoid any green hue.

Like Karen said, you will need to use a filler. The best thing to do to avoid green hues is to use a red brown or auburn color. Then color over it with your color of choice.

For thought! If you have no grays then I would suggest going back brown, but if you have grays-find a happy medium with a blonde you can do at home!! I had to finally go blonde because of the gray issue!! I was also med brown but when there is gray-it is terrible looking to try to keep it covered!! My mom kept trying to stay brown and her hair was an aweful look for several years.

i agree. here is what i used to go from blonde back to a dark brown.. you need to add the 'red' tones back.. it gives you that green you mentioned if you skip it... this can be found at sallys and the directions are simple an on the side of the bottle
