What is the difference between the coconut oil at the beauty supply store and the cocounut oil in the cooking aisle at the grocery store. I was at Wal-mart tonight and saw the coconut oil in the shortening aisle. I'v watched some youtube videos where some women are using the coconut oil from the grocery store.
The coconut I have is from the beauty supply store. It does not become solid it stays liquid.

It could be whats in it, you'd have to check the ingredients list...
I've seen some coconut oils @ the BSS that contain extra stuff so its not 100% pure, whereas the cooking oil or what have you would be more natural hence why you can use it to cook/eat.

I've never used the one out of the grocery store, but the one from the health food store is pure...........when it's cool it's pretty much solid...when warm will get softer....may become liquid.
Loves a must...
