kms do over spray?

I recently purchased KMS "do over" spray, which is supposed to be a spray on cleanser... I was hoping that by using this I could reduce the amount of times I wash my hair (usually about twice a day). Maybe I''''m not using it correctly, but it''''s not really doing anything. I sprayed the product on my roots, combed it through and then blew dry it... and it just looks greasy... Has anyone used this product before? Am i using it wrong? And does anyone know of an alternative product I can use to clean my hair without actually showering? Thanks in advance.
