Edge-Up V. Line-up- Please HELP!

Hey guys, what's the difference between an edge up and a line up? I usually get a line up but i'm receding at the temples so I was thinking about getting an edge up...I don't know if it would be a good idea or not, I mean I don't want my line sittin' at the top of my head either.

What should I do? Here's some pics. I'm headed to Vegas next week and I wanna look fresh, so I was thinkin' bout getting a 1 on the sides faded into a 2 on the top...with tapered sides and back. I still don't know about the edge up though?

If you guys could help me out I would appreciate it. What would u guys do in my situation?

From my experience, the two are synonyms, and name can vary from person to person or regionally.  I usually hear edgeup when im home in CA in the Bay, but I also hear shapeup or lineup in NY, and a lesser knowledge of the term edgeup.  

Christian is right the term varies from region to region and is generally the same thing, for example in NY a lineup is called a "shapeup" but when I was in Oakland they called it a "taper/Edgeup".
