I need a bit of help with a hair coloring issue.

First and foremost, I have no money to go to a professional. If I did, I would have gone in the first place. LOL. I just need a somewhat inexpensive solution besides just letting it grow out.

I've been dying my hair for years. Mostly I have dark hair colors usually dark browns and sometimes reds. I tried a few times to go blonde but there was so much build up in my hair that all it would get was the roots that were already showing.

Recently, I decided to give it another try. I went to Sally's Beauty Salon and bought some of the Loreal color remover and bought a box of Loreal Feria "Dark Iridescent Blonde". I stripped my hair and dyed it. The color that came out, thought not horrible or unseemly, is not what I wanted. It still has tings of orange and small (thankfully, unnoticeable) splotches of brown. Plus, it is a bit two toned with my roots being blonder than the rest and I wanted more of a lighter color.

Now I want to fix this up but I don't know how to go about it. I was instructed that I should go to a professional. And by the time I can afford one, my hair would have grown out. LOL. Someone also said I should try and dye it with another color to see if maybe it would tone it out. Now, I have always been told to avoid dying you hair so close together with over the counter dyes. I was told you should wait the four weeks or so because it could seriously damage your hair because of the harsh chemicals. I was thinking of trying to strip it again and start over. Again, that seems like it be just as bad as dying it again. (At least the hair would be stripped and something strange wouldn't come out of putting to dyes on my hair.)

Or, which would be a bummer, is it better for me just to wait a few weeks before redying.

Advice and help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!
