QuoteReplyTopic: my hair is FRIEDDDD, help please :[ Posted: May 11 2009 at 3:38pm
okay so here's the back story: -my hair is naturally black -in july of last year, i bleached my virgin hair -it turned pumpkin orange -i bleached it 4 more times, and it was a strawberry blonde, but never got past the yellow stage despite all the bleaching. -in september, i dyed it pink, then purple about a week later. -in october, i attempted to take out all the color, and used a volume 50 delveloper to bleach my hair. and i knew basically NOTHING about dying hair, as you can see lol. so a bunch of it fell out, and the little that was left, felt like hay. ive tried ever deep conditioning method you can think of. ive even gone to two separate salons to try to get help. nothing seems to make it healthier. its grown out about 3 inches, and the ends are a little less dry, but still noticably dead.
okay so here are my two questions: 1) what can i use on naturally black roots, to get that Barbie, white blonde color, without frying my hair anymore. and 2) what method would you suggest for trying to restore a bit of health to the parts of my hair that are pretty dead.
(oh and btw, when i say that i fried my hair, i literally mean, i left the bleach on my whole head for about 3 hours, AND when it gets wet, if i attempt to comb it out, it just pulls like a rubberband and feels almost elastic until the point that it snaps off. and when its dry, it looks like alpaca fur)
haha thanks for the help

OMG, I can not believe you left bleach on your hair for 3 hours. I am surprised you had any hair left. Bleach can only be left on the hair up to 50 mins then it should be rinsed off. My advise to you is to leave your hair alone until you get it back to natural black. Get a good cut to rid the dead ends as nothing is going to get your hair back to any normal state after what it has been through.
Sorry if this sounds harsh, but your hair needs time to recover.
