Bleaching disaster

Hi I am new to this forum but I need some advice. I have naturally dark brown hair. I have had highlights many times in the past and have always ended up a dark golden blond. For about the past year or so I have been dying my hair red and got sick of it and decided I wanted ash blond highlights. However I lost my job so I couldn't go to my regular stylist and gave it a go myself.  First I color removed to get most of the red dye out because I know color cannot lift color. After color removing I had about a level 6 so I dyed that a level 6 dark ash blond. Then I highlighted it using Kaliedecolors blue bleach by Clairol. The result orange hair so I figured I didn't leave it on long enough so I bleached again and toned it with a violet/purple toner based ash blond toner. Now I have somewhat orangy/golden highlights and some blond highlights. I really want to get rid of the the gold and get a more ashy tone to my hair. I am wondering is this even possible? Could I do an overall dark ash to neutralize the red or is that going to turn my blond highlights blue? Should I just give up and accept what Ive got. My hair is very overprocessed right now. Any advice  I really hate the color.

Do you have pics? When you did the Kaleidocolors did you use a preheated dryer. That bleach uses heat to make it work! not that I recommend you using this specific type again because of the heat factor! Were you trying for a level 10 or 9 or higher??,

If the level of hair is not at the desired lightness it is better to hold off & use deep conditioning or shampoo with toning properties to mask that specific color until your hair can handle using a color remover or bleach to remove the unwanted pigment. Always bring it up to the desired lightness then tone it to get cool results (all depends on the condition of hair too)...

I know if I don't bring my hair up to the correct level of lightness toning it is going to make it appear murky lol or is just adding color on top of color & not lightening it.

Strand tests are your best friend seriously!!! if you get it right on a strand record the results!

A gentle oil bleach like the Wellite, Instant Whip, Born BLonde, 7th stage (liquids) & activator packets... or Ion Brilliance Lightener (love this smells awesome)....  these would work. I personally tried each of these.... I tried the Kaleidocolors and it did ZERO/ I didn't have patience to use my hand drier and these were test swatches... So if you have a  peice of hair you could try one of these on you would see results.  I like the feeling/texture of the Quick Blue, Ion Powder bleaches vs. the Liquid bleaches.  I believe the conditioners &ingredients in it makes the hair feel smooth & silky in comparison.  Now you will be lifting the Toner & bringing the color up to the light level to tone. 

If you feel your hair is comprimised or feels rough to the touch, maybe get a consultation with an expert to help with it. If you know you wish to NOT bleach for sure or not use color remover which color do you wish for it to be?

Oh your poor dear friend that is awful.   How long is your hair? there are lots of things to consider like also do deep conditioning right now & do you know what level of color you desire or have a reference photo.

Do not use level 40 vol developer... try slow & lower & strand test to be sure.  The developer from ion is supposed to help the scalp feel better...it smells yummy!

When you see that chart above do you know the levels of hair color you have now?
