I like it a lot too. Kate's had some version of blonde, straight-to-wavy, and center-parted for about a decade now. This is a totally different look for her, but very alluring and a welcome change of pace. If I saw her on the street and didn't know her, it would turn my head.

I like the medium-size curls with layers (no surprise) which you can almost see bouncing around as she walks. And no center part that looks like it's splitting her head open!

I'm sure it's for a movie role or something (hopefully not a romantic comedy with Matthew McBuffAbs), and if so, it wouldn't be the first time I preferred an actress' movie role hair over her real-life hair...

That was my initial reaction too - that's not Kate and if it is I don't like it.
 
But the more I look at the picture, I am pretty sure it is her. And I do like it a lot. It makes her look more sophisticated.
