Okay, I just wanted to hear from someone who had done it before and has had good results. Thank you!

Honey is a natural humectant, which means that it draws moisture. So,it's good for dry/damaged hair. I've tried it before and it made my hair softer and shinier. I'm not sure what molasses is supposed to do,but I've tried that as well. The effects were similiar to the honey mask and my hair felt thicker.

What do you think about putting pure honey or molasses in your hair? To me it sounds messy and kind of gross. Does anyone know how this would affect the hair? It seems like it could really make hair a tangled mess, but I could be wrong.

Egyptian Honey/Molasses Hair Treatment

This Honey Hair Treatment was first used by the ancient Egyptians to keep  their hair healthy in their severe desert climate.

Ingredients

1-2 cups of honey or molasses
(Adjust amount according to hair length and thickness.)

Method

Make sure that honey saturates hair
Work into hair as you would shampoo.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Leave  on for 20 to 30 minutes depending on amount of conditioning needed.
Wash and style as usual.
