I've been bleaching my dark brown hair light blonde for a couple of months and I've gotten sick of touching up my roots all the time and decided to go with a burgundy color. So I went to Sally's and bought Clairol Complements in Red Plum with a violet intensifier. I dyed my hair with it and now I have faded red roots and gray-purple hair. I kNEW I shouldn't have used so much violet. How can I fix my hair? Should I get a brownish red demi-permanent color, Second Nature hair dye, or a permanent color? i'm really unsure if I can go with just doing red or if I should use a brown color. I would really like to have a dark red or burgundy color. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The reason your hair did not take the color was because the blonde had no pigment in it for the color top grab onto. You will first need to fill your hair with either a semi permanent or demi permanment color ( preferably in a warm tone) . Then allow that color with 10 volume developer to sit for 10-15 minutes and then apply the permanent color directly on top and leave for the full amount of time. That should do the trick!
