I am in desperate need of help!

I am a 19 year old male, and HATE getting my hair cut. I have such a fear of it, and its getting worse.

Last year, my hair grew quite long not long long but long enough. I was relatively happy with it, until I got it trimmed one day and it went horribly wrong. This left me going almost a whole year without a haircut. 10 months with no haircut. I looked like a girl.

Finally, I found a new hairdresser and got it cut, and after much anxiety, shaking, and coming out in a rash, it was alright, and I found my new style. To add a twist to the sale, my hairdresser has given up hairdressing :l and has lost all interest in it. I had it cut today and its just not how it used to be.

I have decided to travel to London all the way from Norfolk to get my next hair cut by a proper proper professional, because everyone here is unreliable and incompetent. I need some tips!! Please.

Well, if you always hate what they do to it, then you probably know very well by now what they do that you like and don't like.  When you walk into a place, you have the right to ask them exactly what they plan to do and how they plan to do it.  If you don't like the answers, you can leave before sitting down.  Otherwise, there really is no surefire way to know in advance who is good and who isn't.  Listen to your gut instinct about the situation.  Also, bring a picture of exactly what you want, to make sure that no confusion comes from the words used to describe it.
