My natural hair color is strawberry blond with a lot of orange tones.  I used to dye it brown but it never really looked right on me and I stopped a few years ago. Now I am curious as to what would happen if I just used a blue based toner to cancel some of the orange out without making my hair any darker than necessary. I have noticed that demi permanent colors, or at least the ones I have looked at, don't tend to say what base they use. And I haven't seen any demi permanents that are considered toners, which is ideally what I am looking for. If anyone has any suggestions that would be awesome.

Regardless of whether it is called a toner or a demi, either of them should work just fine. Just use a very low volume or deposit only developer. There are tons of Blue and Violet based toners and demis on the market that would work for taking some warmth out of Strawberry blond.
